This position will be at our Kyle campus working in our kennel feeding dogs and cleaning kennels in the morning, playing with dogs in the afternoon & matchmaking the dogs with adopters, etc.
Some holidays and one weekend day required.
If you're a self-motivated person that loves hanging out with dogs and cats, then this job is for you! Responsibilities/qualifications include:
Must love and be able to handle dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds! The health and happiness of our animals is Priority #1.
All animals are to be treated humanely and with compassion at all times, regardless of the situation or circumstance.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
Feeding, watering, and bathing animals Cleaning and sanitizing kennels and play yards daily Monitoring, managing, and switching out dog play groups Interacting with and getting to know the animals so that you're able to have an educated conversation with potential adopters and find the best possible fur-ever home for our animals Ensure paperwork and identification on each kennel is accurate and up-to-date Attention to detail is a must Must have a good work ethic, be customer-friendly, and maintain a positive and professional attitude in the face of all kinds of situations Must be available to work one weekend day and some holidays (rain or shine) Experience working with dogs preferred, but not required Must be dependable, punctual, and have reliable transportation High school diploma or equivalent required and must be 18
Must have a valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record.
